TV series explores the lighter side of death.
Richard O'Brien's Dead Strange, which begins on ITV1 on Thursday 10th July at 2300, will see the former Crystal Maze presenter investigating weird and unusual deaths as well as meeting people obsessed with death, those facing death and those who make their living from our final moments. Not for the faint-hearted or the squeamish, the series also offers practical advice and ideas for those planning a different or unusual send-off.
Parents to get guidance on internet safety
The films, which include a hard hitting promo and a series of case studies, will be shown to parents at schools right across the UK. SWGFL internet safety advisor David Wright, who commissioned Televisionary to produce the project, said "We needed to bridge the technology gap between parents and children. Televisionary found some brilliant case studies to show parents that grooming and bullying can happen to anyone, anywhere."
Televisionary wins 2008 Media Innovation Award
Televisionary's TV coverage of the Fat Face Night Series has won the Media Innovation Award for TV 2008. The panel of judges, which included senior figures from the BBC, ITV and Channel 5, acknowledged "the unique and clever way in which Televisionary had harnessed BBC and ITV regional sports and news desks to bring a commercial brand to prime time terrestrial TV." Commenting on the award, Televisionary's Creative Director, Jeremy Hibbard said "we're one of the pioneers of advertiser funded programming in the UK, and we're delighted that our industry peers recognise just how innovative the Fat Face project has been."
Folk meets Hip Hop in unique collaboration for BBC 1
Televisionary has teamed leading folk artist Seth Lakeman with Midlands Hip Hop Collective, Moorish Delta 7, to record a new track for the forthcoming BBC 1 series, Made in England. The two sets of artistes had just 24 hours to write and record the track before performing it before a live audience. The programme will be shown on BBc 1 on Wednesday 23rd April (St George's Day) at 2230.
Fat Face takes its TV coverage to extremes.
Televisionary has been commissioned to produce TV coverage of the Fat Face Night Series, 6 extreme sports events held at night in the UK and Europe. Footage from the events is being given to TV news outlets as well being made available for sports channels and international distribution. The events include the Wakeboard Jumping and Freestyle Mountain Board World Championships as well as skiing, surfing, windsurfing and mountain biking. A DVD of the series will be available in Fat Face Stores at the end of the year.
